Teachers Make a Difference - Deadline April 15, 2013

Teachers Make a Difference, sponsored by the North Central ESD Educational Foundation, offers an exciting scholarship opportunity for English students, seniors and college students in the North Central ESD area.

We are inviting students who are interested in pursuing a career in education to apply for a $1,000 scholarship by writing a 750 – 1,000 word essay describing the following:

1. “A teacher who has made a difference in my life.”
2. “Why I want to become a teacher.”

The essay needs to be submitted, along with a completed application form (attached), to the Teachers Make a Difference committee.  Consideration will also be given to grades, activities and financial need.  A finalist and alternate will be selected from the applications.  The top essays will be included in the next edition of Teachers Make a Difference, which will be sold to fund a scholarship the following year.
